Operation Ajay – Government evacuates 286 more people, including 18 Nepalese nationals from Israel

New Delhi. 286 passengers including 18 Nepalese nationals arrived tonight onboard the 5th flight in New Delhi from Israel under Operation Ajay. In a social media post, MEA spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said, these passengers were warmly received by the Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Dr. L. Murugan at the airport.

Bharat is in full swing to evacuate its citizens out of the war zone under Operation Ajay departing from Tel Aviv. The operation was launched by the Government to bring back around 18,000 Bharatiyas in Israel.

The war between Israel and the Palestinian terror group Hamas has entered its 12th day following the fatal attack on the country by Hamas terrorists on the 7th of this month.

Israel has continued air strikes across Gaza as a ground invasion looms and Hamas kept up a barrage of rocket attacks, while tensions also mount near the Israel-Lebanon border.

US President Joe Biden will pay a solidarity visit to Israel. French President Emmanuel Macron also announced that he will soon visit Israel. Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that Moscow wants to help prevent a humanitarian disaster in Gaza.
