Guwahati, June 25, 2025: The “Purvottar Bharat Adhyayan Samuh” successfully organized a thought-provoking Vaicharik Prabodhan Karyashala on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, on the theme “Operation Sindoor: Bharat’s Most Successful Military & Diplomatic Victory.” Held at Alok Bhawan, Guwahati, the session witnessed the presence of a galaxy of distinguished guests, scholars, and students. In his keynote address, Lt. Gen. Rana Pratap Kalita (Retd.) presented some rare glimpses into the strategic, operational, technical, and diplomatic aspects of Operation Sindoor—a mission hailed as one of India’s most comprehensive victories. He highlighted the critical coordination between the Indian Armed Forces and the Ministry of External Affairs, the precision of military execution, the supremacy of indigenous arms and weaponry of India, and the geopolitical impact of the operation for the safety and security of India’s borders. Operation Sindoor has set a new benchmark and norm for India’s action against any terrorist attacks on her land and people, and she will no longer tolerate any such activities, reiterated Gen. Kalita.
Taking the audience through a fascinating journey diving into key operational details, supported by maps and classified debriefs now available in the public domain, Gen. Kalita said, “Operation Sindoor is not just a tale of military might but also a testimony to India’s rising stature on the global diplomatic, economic, and defense platforms.” In his message for the youth, Gen. Kalita urged them to stay focused to achieve their goals and be responsible citizens fulfilling their duties and responsibilities for the nation.
The workshop aimed to promote strategic awareness and historical understanding among youth and academic circles in the Northeast. An intrigued audience engaged in a sparkling interactive session, making the event not just informative but also deeply engaging.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks, a beautiful rendition of the national anthem followed by light refreshments, and a call to document and disseminate India’s military and diplomatic successes more actively in national discourse.
