Andhra Pradesh. A case of molestation of 10year old girl by a Christian pastor has come to light in Sarpavaram police station limits in East Godavari District.
According to the details given by Circle Inspector of Police Rajasekhar, the incident happened on the 28th of June. In one of the villages of the mandal, a pastor named Kalavaala Gangadhar alias Sudhakar enticed a minor girl to go along with him to cattle shed located at a short distance away from the Church. There he misbehaved with minor girl and attempted to molest the minor girl. When the girl started screaming loudly he gave her Rs. 50 and warned her not to tell about the incident to anyone. Thereafter he fled from the scene of offence.
Village elders tried to hush up the matter exerting pressure on the girl’s parents. However, on a complaint lodged by the minor victim’s family on 4th July, the accused pastor was booked under POCSO act and remanded to judicial custody.
