Dispur. Police have tightened security in the face of increasing number of terrorists in the state. Assam Police have arrested 34 people associated with the terrorist organization Al-Qaeda.
There are reports that different groups are evolving with the help of various terrorist organizations and banned organizations. Youths are taking part in different terrorist activities through this group. Will take action against terrorist activities, clarified DGP Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta.
Efforts are going on to encroach army training camps in Bangladesh, said the DGP. Madrasa gangs are also emerging. He stated that there are conspiracies going on in the neighbouring countries with the aim of attacking Assam. People were also warned to be careful.
While talking to the media, DGP Assam Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta said, “More than 34 people affiliated with Al-Qaeda have already been arrested. Assam Police won’t allow these kinds of conspiracies to succeed. Some Army training camps have been set up by Bangladeshis.”
