Bharatiya Itihas Sankalan Samiti Assam announces that two days national seminar on “Revisiting Indian Freedom Movement: A Saga of Unsung Heroes of Uttar Purba Bharat “ is scheduled on 24th &25th July, 2021 through google meet. The objective of this seminar is to write and document the neglected heroes of Indian Freedom Struggle. It is evident that Indian Freedom Movement was the movement of the Jana Andollan (a mass people’s movement), the urge of the common mass translated into freedom but unfortunately most of such mass movement and their heroes were not acknowledged by the then historian, so it is the duty and scial responsibility of Bharatiya Itihas Sankaln samity to put all effort to bring into light those heroes from Uttar Purba Bharat. Secondly, as a step towards writing Indian History with Indian perspective, BISS Assam announces a workshop on “Writing of Bharatiya Itihasa with Bharatiya Perspective” on 19th August 2021, primarily this workshop will enhance the capacity of writing Ithisa which are scattered in various forms and shapes including in oral literature tradition.
