It’s my duty to honor a great leader

A night I will treasure forever. Performing for His Excellency Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the concluding event of his state visit to the USA. What I loved most about last night was listening to the voices of the audience singing. You could hear the passion of their hearts. Their souls sang with such pride and patriotism for their motherland and especially for the Prime Minister. I almost stopped singing just so I could listen to myself. Following my performance, I was grateful for a moment to exchange with and honour PM Modi publicly. PM Modi is such a wonderful and kind man. To touch the feet of elders, is to touch their hearts. Touching the feet of elders is a sign of reverence and respect in Indian culture. As a global citizen, it is my duty to honor such a great leader as Modi. India and Indian communities across the world, I love you! God bless the US-India alliance.
