Shayan Ali, Pakistani social media influencer, converts to Sanatan Dharma

Says, Sri Krishna helped him during his time of depression, wants to come to his ancestors’ land

Shayan Ali, a social media influencer in Pakistan, announced that he has left Islam and converted to Sanatan Dharma (Hindutva). In a social media post he announced that during his time of crisis, when Pakistani intelligence agency was harassing him, it was Lord Krishna who held his hands.

He also thanked the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKON) for never giving up on him. He is announcing his conversion or “Ghar Wapsi”, as he put it, after observing his ancestors culture and lifestyle for the last 2 years.

In his post, he said that he had to leave Pakistan in 2019 because of torture of Pakistani agencies. He had gone into a depression at that time and was about to give up when Lord Krishna held his hand. He added that it is time to give it back and make his ancestors proud.

Shayan Ali also said that he would not be a part of any hatred against any other religion. He respects other beliefs and said that the Gita teaches him to respect every person no matter what his or her religion is.

He added that he feels very proud for coming returning to his roots and hoped that his ancestors would be feeling the same.

Pakistan intelligence agency, ISI, began hounding the social media influencer after he refused to work in an ISI’s PR music video with the name of “Kashmir Hon Mein”.

The ISI began accusing him of being a Jewish agent and member of India’s intelligence agency, RAW. Shayan Ali had to leave Pakistan after the agency mounted pressure upon him.
