Unions and social organizations engaged in the service of Warkaris at various places; Health checkup, distribution of food items

Pune (Visanke). On the occasion of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj and Sant Tukaram Maharaj’s palanquin ceremony, workers of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and social organizations were engaged in the service of Warkaris (devotees) who had come to Pune. On this occasion, health check-up of warkaris, distribution of fruits and food items etc. were done.

Late Nana Palkar Smruti Samiti Pune organized health checkup camp at Phulenagar, Yerwada near Vishrantwadi Police Station for the pilgrims on the occasion of palanquin ceremony at Nana Palkar Memorial Hospital. In this, the health of about 6000 to 8000 warkaris was examined from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. 11 doctors, 17 medical students, 5 nurses, more than 50 volunteers and more than 30 migrant workers and members of Nana Palkar Memorial Hospital participated in the health check-up camp. Body pain, leg pain, cold-cough, fever, bile, skin diseases, eye problems were found in the camp. Along with this, dressing of 300 to 400 warkaris was also done in this camp. The service of massage and oiling of the feet of the pilgrims was also given in the camp.

Chaulai laddoos and bananas were distributed to the devotees on behalf of Shri Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Paduka Mandir and Shri Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Lok Ganeshotsav Mandal.

Ra. Self. Tea is being distributed to the Warkaris for the last 7 years by the Keshav Sayan branch in Sangh Bibwewadi Nagar. About 310 packets of laddus were distributed by the branch this year.

On Monday (June 12) in Kasba Nagar, volunteers performed charan seva of Warkaris of Ambegaon Taluka Dindi. Oil massage was done on the feet and body.

Similarly, on behalf of Seva Arogya Foundation, arrangements were made for health check-up and treatment of warkaris at two places in Karvenagar. Allopathic medicines were given at Hingne Home Colony Samaj Mandir, while Ayurvedic medicines were given at Nandadeep Nursery. In this activity, 144 men and women involved in Dindi were examined. For this, 8 doctors and 5 service health workers rendered their services.

Cloth bags were distributed to Warkari women by Bhartiya Stree Shakti Jagran Sanstha.

Arogya Bharati Health Care Camp

Arogya Bharti organized health care camp in Pune this year. Shri Guru Babasaheb Azrekar Dindi resides at Shri Omkareshwar Mandir, Pune. A health care camp was organized at this place by Arogya Bharti in collaboration with Shri Omkareshwar Temple Devasthan.

The camp started with Dhanwantari and Bharatmata Puja by Balabhau Joshi of Bhartiya Kushta Nivarak Sangh Champa Sanstha and other dignitaries with the blessings of Ajrekar Dindi Pramukh HBP Kondkar Maharaj and HBP Karve Maharaj, Phaltan.

He was treated with various medical methods like Ayurveda, Allopathy, Homeopathy. Shri Omkareshwar Temple provided the venue for the health care camp. Mahaprasad was arranged for the doctors and personnel by Mr. Nitin Uttarkar and his family.

About 500 patients were examined and given medicines. Patients who are not able to walk were given necessary treatment and counseling.

Service by the workers of Surajya Sanstha

On the occasion of the palanquin ceremony of Sant Shrestha Dnyaneshwar Maharaj, the workers of Surajya Sanstha got the privilege of serving Warkari. This service is running from last 3 years as a service to the pilgrims walking from Alandi to Pandharpur for Panduranga Darshan.

In the first phase from Alandi to Vishrantwadi, there is pain in the feet, in order to get energy for walking, the above services were given by massaging the hands, feet and body of the visitors and massaging them with oil. Massaging with oil brings the power to walk in the body. The workers of Surajya All-round Development Organization provide service.
