Kokrajhar: In a significant step towards fostering an academic revolution in Bodoland territorial region, CEM Pramod Boro ceremonially launched ‘Bodoland Youth Employment Mission’ in Kokrajhar on Wednesday. A website for the same was also launched during the program.
Addressing the gathering, Boro said that this mission will bridge skill gaps for the youth of the region and enhance employability. Despite working hard, some students fail to achieve their dreams due to lack of right guidance, motivation and information. That scenario will be changed with the help of initiatives as such. Highlighting the importance of the youth employment mission in current times, the CEM urged people to create awareness regarding this so that maximum students can be benefited. He also said that smart classrooms will be made available in every college to aid the students in their educational endeavours.
Further, underlining the importance of the youth employment mission, BTC education secretary Amar Jyoti Barman informed that 25 colleges and higher secondary schools in Kokrajhar, Chirang, Baksa, Tamulpur and Udalguri will offer weekend coaching sessions.
Professors and government sector specialists will provide subject-specific guidance for various central and State government job opportunities. BTCLA speaker Kati Ram Baro and several dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
