Kerala. RSS Pathsanchalans are not something new to Keralites. Every year, swayamsevaks carry out colourful sanchalans in Kerala, in connection with Vijayadashami celebrations, to celebrate the foundation day of Sangh. It used to be organizational district-wise. But, when the number of participants increased in geometrical proportions, it was changed to lower organizational units. In some places, it is Khand-wise (formerly Taluk) and even Mandal-wise.
Thousands of swayamsevaks participated in various sanchalans and public sanghikhs. Senior office-bearers who spoke on the occasions touched almost all national and international issues like border conflicts with China and Pakistan, Kashmir, Shri Ram Mandir, G-20, Hamas’s attacks against Israel, the concept of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam well received by the countries around the world during G-20 Conclave, successful Chandrayaan mission etc. Apart from Ganavesh-clad swayamsevaks thousands of women, children and sympathisers participated in the programme.
Aluva Sangh zilla, a part of the Ernakulam revenue zilla, had the zilla programme. More than 3,500 ganavesh-clad swayamsevaks participated in the pathsanchalan. The Sanghik was addressed by J. Nandakumar, Akhil Bharatiya Samyojak, Prajna Pravah.
Northeast monsoon with furious afternoon and evening rains and frightening thunderstorms usually poses threat to evening programmes in Kerala in October. But, this time, in most places, weather was kind towards the Vijayadashami functions.
164 Pathsanchalans were carried out in Kerala and more than 100,000 ganavesh-clad swayamsevaks participated in them. The number of women, sympathisers and local people came above 100,000.
