More than 250 PEOPLE HAVE BEEN AFFECTED BY CORONAVIRUS

ICMR (Indian Council of Medical Research) reports that about 236 people have been affected by COVID-19 till Friday

while Union health ministry figure stood to be 223. Both the central and state governments announced shutdown of public places to stop the spread of coronavirus

that has taken more than 10,000 lives globally.

236 people have been tested positive after 14,514 individuals out of 15,404 samples have been tested for SARS-CoV2 as on 20th March 2020 6 PM as stated by ICMR.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday 19th March 2020 addressed the nation on corona virus asking everyone to remain indoors and come out only when it becomes extremely necessary. He called for JANATA CURFEW on 22nd March from 7 am to 9 pm, saying no citizen except associated with emergency and essential services, should get out of their house to show how much is India prepared to take the challenge of coronavirus pandemic.
PM Modi on video conference told the chief ministers to take preventive measures to fight coronavirus and also told that the increase in temperature will not be of any help in stopping the spread of virus.

The Maharastra Chief Minister said all workplaces in major cities, including countries commercial hub Mumbai and Pune will remain closed till 31st March. Delhi CM announced shut down of malls except grocery stores and pharmacies in them.

MEGHALAYA ANNOUNCED A 24 HOUR STATEWIDE SHUTDOWN
Meghalaya announced a 24 hour statewide shutdown from Saturday midnight and observe it as ‘coronavirus awareness day. All public transport, commercial establishments and markets will remain closed to create awareness among the people of state.

NO PASSENGER TRAIN WILL RUN FROM MIDNIGHT TO 10 PM ON SUNDAY
According to a railway order issued no passenger train will run from any railway station from midnight to 10 pm on Sunday in view of “Janta curfew”.

Singer Kanika Kapoor was tested positive on Friday, who returned from London in mid –March and has been admitted in King George Medical University (KGMU) in Lucknow. She attended 3 parties after arriving in Lucknow from London. Many politicians, bureaucrats and socialists has attended parties with her. Kanika came in contact with more than 350 people in three parties.
